Constant power but unstable data connection for USB mic

I need this for my Yeti Pro mic which I use for audio recording and podcasts. It seemed like the perfect solution for my 2018 15" MacBook Pro. Although it provides constant power to the microphone, it does not stream data in series. This caused problems with the microphone connection when using Adobe Audition to record. My MBP couldn't tell the device was plugged in. That sucks because that would be the perfect solution for me instead of using regular USB with a USB-C adapter.
