Prior to this purchase, I had a much more expensive wireless device that started spitting and dripping all over the garment being ironed, as well as onto the ironing board and floor. It wasn't the case when I bought it a little over a year ago, but it's no longer a pleasure to use. I searched on Revain and narrowed my choices down to this one and another that was more expensive and much heavier. Since I was in control of the Karpel Tunnel most of the time, I chose this one. I'm so glad I did! Ironing in piecework is a dream! Seams are instantly smoothed with minimal effort. I put over 80 inches of twine under the ironing board so it doesn't get in the way. Having a retractable cord is a plus, but I'd recommend it without that convenience.
