Nice and inexpensive moving hands watch, just what I was looking for. That's more than I expected; it is about 8-9 inches high and 6-7 inches wide. I'm a relatively new college professor and the longer I've been at my institution, the more students and colleagues are looking for me! It's a very collegial place with a "drop in" culture and people expect you to be there when they want to see you. That's good, and I don't want to risk either of them thinking I'm leaving if I'm in a meeting or just walking. I hang it from a clip on my office door by a beaded metal collar and move my hands as needed. The arms are free to move and stay in place as you move them where you want them. This reassures everyone that I will be returning and not going away for the day. When I have office hours, I turn the clock back so the students know they can come. Some of my colleagues have asked me where I got it and now they want one for themselves. Result? It's cheap old technology that does the job well.
