I've been buying a Maxell XL II for years, my car still has a built in cassette deck, so I make cassettes for city driving and I tell you that you get the best sound for that purpose. I like my highs to be bright and crisp, and I can only get them on XL-II High Bias tapes. I have a separate EQ from my amp so depending on the song and the original recording I can adjust the EQ and I want a clear sound for my car stereo. Depending on what you're buying this cassette for, I say music I don't think there's anything better and over the years I've tried them all.
