I have an intercom system with a speaker and a communication device in every room. Ceiling speakers are also installed throughout the home. When music is played, it plays on all speakers, including communication devices in bathrooms and bedrooms. I have an "Aux" option on the main unit, but I see that requires a separate $800 power strip with a CD player, iPod dock (legacy), and external inputs. The drywall will also need to be cut as it will double the size of the main head unit. I found some internal aux RCA jacks and a 16vdc power supply on the back panel. I plugged it in and it works great. Now I can play my phone all over the house.
