Nice but could be better

This is definitely more secure than the strap that came with these cameras. Lost mine to some bastard who snatched it from a tree in the woods 100ft from my house. Try again. I have a second hidden camera watching this! In any event, this product would be much better if the rotation of a bolt, once wrapped around a tree, would also press it tighter against the tree like a hose clamp does. Then it would be possible to press it firmly. You need to coordinate by holding the cam and pressing the strap tightly around the tree and holding it while you tighten the screw. I managed to get it fairly tight against the wood, but there is enough play, especially behind the edges of the camera, due to the placement of the strap holders on the back of the camera to allow cutters to be used. But heck, if you're going through all that for a $69 camera, you're in serious trouble. And by the way. If you want to try this be sure to smile at the "other" eye in the sky LOLUpdate 7/20/20 Be careful with the camera you choose to use this on. I've used them on a Camppark Trail camera and the plastic retaining tabs/slots on the back of the camera fit into the simple flexible strap that comes with most of them. However, for security reasons, I wanted to "tie" it to a tree, so I figured that would work. It was for a short while, but if you apply force to the plastic tabs and try to coordinate the stiff metal strap through them, and then stretch it against the tree... the plastic tabs snap off easily, and the left one is strapless! Know the position of the back of the camera, otherwise you will face the same problem. Why doesn't the camera manufacturer just let the strap go through the body of the device instead of the flimsy plastic tabs on the back?
