The other reviewers are right, the instructions are complete nonsense. This is mainly due to blurry images, although the written instructions are wordy to the point of being unusable. In the end I decided that a *clear* picture of the assembled product would be more useful than the included instructions, so I included it. Two black plastic clips secure the two outer metal tabs of the wheel assembly to the post. The inside (dishwasher) plastic case slides onto the center metal tab and the outer plastic case snaps onto the grate. It's a good thing that the assembly is so easy thanks to the supplied instructions. If you have trouble with it not locking, rotate the thumb latch outward by hand to hook the tab through the opening in the sliding metal piece on the inside. My thumb lock got in the way of the post a bit, preventing it from connecting to mine. The inner strip of plastic meant to act as a spring isn't up to the task and is sure to warp/break even more after flushing. . .In any case, it looks like it should last longer than the plastic version.
