Review on Garmin GPSMAP Waterproof Marine Chartplotter by Christian Byrd

Recently bought a Garmin 78sc - it worked for 1 week then got an error message (cannot unlock maps) and the unit still didn't work - called Garmin after I had seen all the negative information on this unit - they said Garmin is aware of the problem and a fix is ready - however browsing the web found this error message had been complained about for 5 months and still no fix--- they refused to take the unit back and i was told that replacing it would only bring another faulty module - they said to wait for a solution and they would contact me - doesn't look like they take the solution too seriously .--- there is nothing better
