Absolutely perfect for beginners or occasional users

Want to have fun on the water but not sure if this board is suitable for paddling? I am not blaming you. Since many of the SUPs I've seen in sporting goods stores cost $1,000 or more, how can anything in this price range be reasonable? Does it work at all? Will there be a leak? Let me put your mind at rest. First, this is more than enough for normal use. I pumped it up to 14psi (15psi max) and left it in my backyard for a few days and it hasn't lost any noticeable pressure after a few days. Deflating and rolling up to get to the lake was a breeze and this and another similar paddleboard fit in the trunk of my Hyundai Accent, paddles included with plenty of room! Once on the water, she surfaced quite well. Although I can swim, I am an absolute SUP beginner and therefore decided to wear a life jacket. The thing is hard. Unless you've tripped over a really sharp rock or something, it should hold up with normal use. We even loaned it to some cool people on the beach and they enjoyed it too. Getting up is difficult, like skateboarding or longboarding, but the worst that can happen is getting wet, and that's it. You're by a lake, so of course you want to get wet! The carry case is more than strong enough to be lugged around, the hand pump works surprisingly well and I would say it takes 5-10 minutes to inflate. up to 14psi. I would probably buy an electric pump if you don't have enough arm strength or if you are going to be using it very often. The paddle is fine. It's definitely useful, but it's probably the first thing I would update. It floats and such, so it's fine for starters. Nobody will complain about it. Unlike some hobbies where you risk injury by skimping on equipment (like longboarding, inline skating, etc.), the impact of skimping on SUP is negligible. Again, the worst thing that can happen is getting wet, and who cares? That's part of the fun. I absolutely recommend it. After hearing how great we had this weekend with this SUP, friends and family are asking to be invited back next weekend. Even my mom wants to see this fun. Don't let the price fool you - it's an absolute blast! If you have the idea that you want to get a surfboard and you get to the point where you are reading this review then I would say buy it! It'll be as much fun as you would expect for a fraction of the cost of what "serious" paddlers buy. Who wants to be serious? This is not fun.
