I bought this because I was looking for a tool to remove cat hair from carpets. I have seen rubber brooms used to remove pet hair from carpets and although laborious they have given good results. I bought it and tried it on my bedroom rug. Now I vacuum regularly, but of course there are hairs I can't see. I used it on the carpet and loved it! Hair, it seems, climbed out of nowhere! I washed the entire carpet and was amazed at how much cat hair was left after vacuuming. I use it almost every day now all over my apartment and every day it picks it up! I'm so glad I invested in this broom and I would say the only downside is that on carpet you have to grease your elbow a bit to get your hair up. But it's worth it!
