First ride on them was a double Black Diamond trail 3.5 miles uphill on a sunny day with temperatures in the 80s+. Ideal reasons to test their comfort. Result: They remained comfortable enough to be worn most of the time (I wore them around my ankles to try and dry them). Didn't have an accident as expected, but I'm sure if I had had one they would have provided adequate protection. At first I didn't want to spend almost $100 on knee pads, but the hospital bill would be many times that. This gave me additional confidence that I can also use larger functions.
