Single end cable, not working from PC to TV

The cable was good quality but I tried using it to transfer pictures from the lab to the TV but it didn't work. I contacted the representative and she worked with me, but in the end she told me that the cable only works to transfer the picture from the TV to the laptop. There is no other way. The cable is unusable for me. The return is too expensive, so I think it goes to an unusable cable box.
