These are just pieces of Loofah, dried and pressed. Soaked in warm water, they expand and soften. I've used two so far and both have a soft side and a harder side. I use the soft side for washing dishes and glasses and the hard side for pots and pans and for baking. They work very well - just as well as a regular plastic scrubber. They tend to revert to their natural shape, but that's no big deal. I wash them well after use and use a loop to hang them on a hook to dry. I've had others that I've used for months that have even been washed in the dishwasher once a week to freshen them up. Haven't tried them yet, but I suspect they will work just as well.
