Tear prone Good for sport

Good to very good fit and buoyancy, especially in the legs, but VERY tear prone. The most serious tear in the suit, a 6-inch cut down the right shin, occurred after his first outing in the 2014 Spring Triathlon. Unfortunately I didn't notice the break until another cold water event was required a little over a year later. At that point the warranty had just expired so the kind folks at TYR couldn't replace the suit but they sent me a free repair kit which was nice. water competitions and maybe a dozen pool miles) is riddled with so many scratches and tears that I've resigned myself to the futility of trying to fix it. Some of the cracks have a telltale crescent shape of the nail, so that's probably my fault Others can't be explained by nail impressions (crack on chest, biceps, etc.) However, a suit in this price range should be more durable (I have a three year old sleeveless Neosport for $89, which while not as buoyant, has survived dozens of open water competitions and countless hours in pools, both chlorine and salt water, without tears.) I'm really disappointed in the H1 because otherwise I rate the TYR product line very highly.
