Review on πŸ’ͺ Boost Nitric Oxide Levels with Ultra High Strength Beet Root Capsules - 4% Nitrates - 1400mg - Natural NO Booster - Highly Concentrated & Bioavailable - 120 Capsules by Laura Jackson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

2 capsules is not an effective dose

Clinical studies have shown that the effective dose of nitrates to improve athletic performance is approximately 6 mg/kg. For a 150-pound person, that would be about 400 mg of nitrate. With a nitrate concentration of 4% (56 mg nitrates per serving) this means that for an effective dose you need to take 7-8 capsules of Toniiq Beetroot Powder. So why 4 stars? First, I don't think Toniiq is trying to mislead anyone with this addition; they clearly indicate the content of nitrates. Second, this is the only beetroot supplement I've seen that actually measures nitrate levels. Other beetroot powders leave you guessing or have vague claims like "as much nitric oxide as 3 beets” (although the nitric oxide content of beets can vary widely). However, this makes Toniiq beetroot capsules a more expensive alternative to beets. root powder. If we factor in 6 capsules per serving, that works out to $1.70 per serving compared to $0.60 per serving of BulkSupplements Beetroot Powder. Assuming 3% nitrate levels, one tablespoon of beetroot powder yields 450 mg of nitrate, which is an effective dose for a 150-pound person. So in the future I will be looking for a quality beetroot powder to replace these capsules but until then I am happy with my purchase and am able to take 6 capsules a day.
