Axle Spindle Nut best in spare parts
Always install a new locknut on the axle spindle. Clean all grease from the axle threads. Don't reuse an old nut. Be sure to check the torque specification. for this vehicle and tighten the nut without stressing the tyre. On my 4WD, this nut preloads the front wheel bearings. You cannot tighten or loosen the bearings. The weight of the car on the bearings before the torque can push out the seals and cause the bearings to fail. While not all cars are the same, pay attention to these tips or follow them.
