Review on Game console Sony PlayStation 4 Pro 1024 GB HDD, God of War Limited Edition by Wiktor Sakowski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

So, in the end, I decided for a long time whether to take a plug instead of a slim one (4k TV is available). I read a bunch of forums, reviewed a bunch of videos. Opinions were divided. But I still decided to take a chance and bought the same. It took a couple of hours to transfer data from the old console to the new one using a lan cable (which is very convenient, 300 GB came out all the same). And here she is, ready to go. In addition, I want to add a few lines. Firstly, do not be afraid to switch from a slim to a firmware, you can always sell a slim from your hands, and after playing pro you will not want to turn on the slim (well, or fatka) already. Secondly, reviews about its overly noisy operation and overheating are greatly exaggerated. Of course, it makes noise when, for example, it loads a disc. When it comes to games, there is a difference. What immediately catches your eye is the increased FPS, even where things were bad in PS4 (in Hitman, for example). The quality of lighting, particles and shadows is also noticeably tightened, weather effects, fog, etc. look great. Thus: Does it make noise like a vacuum cleaner? No, within normal limits - there is practically no difference in the card? There is a difference. If not in the image, then in performance. - there is practically no content for the pro? Content that reveals at least 80% of its capabilities is really not enough, but these are quite suitable games such as Horizon, Tomb Raider or Uncharted 4. Another thing is that in the first year of the life of a regular PS4 there were also few projects, but they understood that the console was designed for future. It's the same topic here. Next year, several good projects from Sony will come out at once, such as Spider-Man, The Last of Us 2, God of war, Day Gone, Detroit: become human. We are also waiting for Red dead redemption 2 from the creators of GTA. I am sure that he will justify himself. Does it make sense to take a pro if there is no 4k TV set? More likely no than yes. Does it make sense to take a plug if you already have a fat or slim, or is it better to wait for a new generation? Wait, most likely it will take 3-4 years, no less. Plus, at the release of the new generation, most likely there will be nothing to catch again and it will take another year to build up.

Pros
  • Twice as powerful as a regular PS4. Though not "real" 4k, but the picture is noticeably clearer. No fps drops in games. Boost mode works great. Finally, does not lag in the menu. Those who write that it makes noise like a vacuum cleaner either did not own the first revision of the PS4 or are too sensitive to noise. Yes, it is louder than a slim, but much quieter than a fatki (and if you take into account its filling, then this is very good). HDR games look amazing.
Cons
  • I don’t know why, but the content download speed is about 2-3 times lower than on a slim card (tested via Wi-Fi). Terrible, well, just disgusting power and eject buttons on the console case. I would like to tear off the hands of the one who is responsible for them. It was possible to turn on the console for the first time only on the fourth attempt, when thoughts had already crept in that I would have to go back and change it. Yes, there is still not so much content that is fully revealed on the firmware a year after the release. But here it is worth noting that there were not so many worthy projects. Most games can offer the player to unlock the FPS or set it to a stable 30 fps. But the quality of the picture and drawing is still higher than that of a regular PS4. . After a few weeks, a fairly common problem among users was discovered. Especially common among those who play on Samsung TVs. After starting the console, after 15-20 minutes the image disappears for 2 seconds. After that, the problem does not appear until the next start. Since not everyone appears, there are no complaints specifically about the playstation, most likely with some TVs there are problems with transmitting a video stream in 2160p rgb mode. It is treated by setting the resolution to 2160p yuv 420 in the console settings. Also, if there are problems with the image, I advise you to replace the standard hdmi cable with hdmi 2.0
