So far so good with this guy. I was a bit hesitant to buy this one after reading some of the reviews, but this is one of the few humidifiers to be rated by Consumer Reports and CR has never fooled me. I was also keen to try a steam humidifier as well as cold air, which is nice but probably won't be a priority in the future if I ever buy a new one. It's only warm at the base of the vapor and cold when it's 3 inches from the machine. However. For those who say it flows - definitely not. However, I think people struggle with water dripping everywhere when you lift the water tank off the base. The base is still full of water. So if you're not careful, water will inevitably get everywhere. If you turn it upside down, a piece will fall off the top of the tank if you don't remember to remove it, and sometimes water will even drip from that spot (this is the hole where the vapor goes). . issued by). It definitely took me a few tries to fill up this guy before I didn't get water all over the place, but it's possible! It's just good to have a towel handy. Also, the plastic part that has to be unscrewed to fill the tank is incredibly difficult to unscrew, but that's not unique to this humidifier - I think it's true of all. After all, I can always make it, you just have to work at it a little! I wish it was a little quieter, but that's not a bad thing at all. It's like a low hum - like the computer is downloading something. Not enough to keep me awake, but it's noticeable. The screen is very bright as others have said, but a small piece of cardboard fixed everything. Ugly but okay. Finally, it says to place it 3 feet off the ground, not up a tree. Well, I don't have a piece of furniture in my bedroom that isn't wood, so I had to put it on a stool with a baking sheet underneath to catch the water that drips when I fill it up. The stool can stand 1 foot off the ground and the wood floor in my room still feels a bit damp if sat for too long. So I don't use it every night to make sure I don't warp the floor. A bit annoying but there's not much I can do about it other than buy a new piece of furniture to set it up. Overall I think this is a great little car and probably one of the best in the world. It's not perfect, but damn close.
