They are amazing. I feel guilty about using non-recyclable, single-use plastic (petrochemical) cutlery, mugs, etc., but they are fully compostable! * Easily distinguishable from other disposable cutlery by the loop on the handle. Surprisingly strong, unusually elegant, stylish. No burrs and nicks like ordinary plastic. Good price. Highly recommended. This company has many other products and I am delighted. Even if I'm lazy and don't want to do the dishes, plastic waste is still a luxury with serious negative consequences that we can no longer afford. But it's not guilt! * To update. I was saddened to learn that not all "compostable" packaging and cutlery actually breaks in every industrial or household composting facility, and that not all city yard refuse services accept sound commercial "compostable" materials for pickup. to investigative journalism. The packaging states that they retain their integrity up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, so it seems they require a minimum temperature to turn into compost. It is best to follow local municipal regulations. I'm fortunate to have a huge and successful composting facility in Seattle that uses all kinds of food packaging products.
