Good deal and useful lens once you learn how to use it. Look at the price. Now consider the range of focal lengths. There are always compromises with zoom lenses and with this one however you can take some very good photos with this lens but you have to do more than just point and shoot. This is not good for low light - the brighter the better! Don't expect crisp photos from extreme angles. If you're shooting wide open, drop it down a few notches and everything will be sharper. I have attached two photos at 200mm, 100%, an F6 and an F13. At 18mm, lowering the aperture doesn't improve sharpness that much. At 24mm, images get fairly sharp at larger apertures and stay that way until you reach the top end. I had no issues with autofocus or VC, all sample photos were taken handheld with both turned on. Fit and finish are acceptable, I have a 6 year guarantee. Its light weight makes it ideal for travel and hiking. Four stars for value for money doesn't mean it matches lenses that cost hundreds or thousands of dollars more, but in its class of economy budget lenses for amateur photographers it offers a lot of money.
