I wouldn't recommend this unless you have a lot of automotive wiring experience and don't have access to detailed wiring diagrams for the car you intend to use it on. This device does not come with all the parts shown. In the photo, in a very small box, there were no connections for taps and cable ties. There were no detailed instructions either, just a diagram on the outside of the box. I had to search the internet for detailed wiring diagrams for my car and even when I found them I had to read almost a hundred pictures to find the information I needed to connect the correct wires. Also, expect to use extra #18 wire to increase the length if you connect it to both the right and left. One more thing, this only applies to the car which currently has LED lighting and the trailer which has LED lighting. If your carr has conventional incandescent bulbs or your trailer draws more than two amps, you will most likely burn that unit. If you're worried about power consumption, just buy a kit that connects to your battery. I finally got it working, but it took me hours to find all the information online and then read it. My skill level is high as I am an electrical engineer and used to be a licensed electrician. If it took hours I'm afraid less experienced people might get lost trying to install this.
