I bought this backpack so I don't have to lug around as much in my arm and around my waist on long runs and I have to say overall it's great. The water bag can withstand a lot. I took it for a test ride on a 3-mile run in the scorching south Texas summer heat with a full bag of water, and although I've been drinking to stay hydrated, I still haven't used a quarter of the bag. It also has several small pockets separate from the water pocket where you can store things like your phone, ipod, keys, etc. And I've never had a problem drinking water out of a snorkel while running. The backpack never felt too loose on my shoulders or too heavy on my back, which was great for someone my short like me. My only criticism is that the water pouch isn't insulated so it doesn't hold cold water very well. A runner friend of mine advised me on hot days like this to just fill my backpack with ice and let the ice melt as you run, so I'll try that next time. But overall I'm very happy with the package. I'll put it to good use on my 50-state trip.
