It's meant for carrying pens, but the bonus for me is that the elastic straps are designed to hold at least 2. I was able to fit 2 Tombow Dual Brush Pens in one spot. I was worried it wouldn't be wide enough to fit the length but they did. I uploaded a few photos including one showing the different types of pens I was able to fit in: Tombow Dual Brush pens, Micron pens, some other Tombow Brush pens, Sharpie pens and Pilot G-2- Pencils. Of these, I would not recommend this G-2 pen case as the rubber part does not slide well into the rubber straps. All other knobs went in and out fairly easily. I have also included a comparison photo with my other pens/pencil cases/cases. The brown one I bought from Revain a few years ago fits regular Sharpie pens and markers. The smaller blue one is large enough for the Tombow Dual Brush pens and makes an excellent carrying case. A larger case if it fits more or less all the same pens but doesn't have space to store other types of items. However, if you have a large collection of pens or colored pencils, this bag will suit you. I've only had it a few days but the zipper and handle seem solid.
