Review on Dahle Automatic Adjustable Gridlines Guillotine by Kim Sanchez

For the price this is a great tool and I like it better than my .

I lost my rotary trimmer on the road so I went in search of a replacement. Comparable small but good quality rotary trimmers cost well over my budget so I bought this one. I use it primarily for quartering 9x11 sandpaper, so I don't need sharp edges or ultra-precise cuts: I have them anyway. For the price this is a great tool and I like it better than my old rotary press. It's easy to use with a handy SAE scale and metric scale on top, 1/2" increments on the table, and an adjustable stop for repetitive cuts. It has a stamped steel table that isn't industrial, but it's more than adequate. Spring-loaded all-steel blade cuts flat on the table. s Conveniently trims and locks in place when not in use. Well-secured rubber feet keep the tool in place during use. The only plastic part is the adjustable stop, which should last a long time with careful tightening and storage. There's also a hold-down mechanism to grab the paper as you cut, which should keep your fingers away from the cut, but it's probably not strong enough to prevent the paper from always shifting as you cut. That is, for a simple paper cutter, it has all the necessary functions. I've only had a trimmer for a few months, but I've been buying tools for forty years: I recognize a durable tool, when I see/use it this trimmer will give me years of satisfactory results. I'm glad I paid a little more and gave up the plastic 'toy'.
