Works very well; No programming

I have an old "dumb" dryer that the handle fell off and was replaced with another that doesn't match the lines on the machine. The laundry was often still wet when I finally remembered it was in the dryer. Since I had already started with home automation, I was looking for solutions. But after watching video after video I almost gave up not wanting to buy a Raspberry Pi, flash SD cards and write code. Everyone said the vibration sensors weren't working. The power consumption methods - with additional coding - don't work with my 220V dryer socket anyway. I even considered buying a new dryer with built in smart features but ultimately couldn't justify the cost as this dryer still dries. I was almost put off by the mixed reviews for this SmartDry, but I'm glad I gave it a try. For me it just works and works well. I am very happy. I run my dryer for a long time and am fascinated by how fast clothes actually dry. In the past, when timing the right thing to make sure the clothes were ready, I must have lit them. I believe this device will pay dividends in energy saved over time and in the life of my clothes. Also, my behavior has changed in that I take out my clothes as soon as they are ready and now fold them, meaning they don't have time to crease. lean out. It would be nice if the power supply were placed at an angle so that it wraps around the socket a little. I had a problem: connecting the sensor to a second phone caused a problem. The app kept saying it couldn't connect to the hub or something. I just gave up, but then I realized that the linking process works after finding the sensor, and push notifications to the second phone also work fine. This subsequent communication with other phones needs some improvement. Now YMMV because I have very good prerequisites for a SmartDry unit - an outlet directly above the dryer and good WiFi coverage in the laundry room and throughout the house where my phone will be. . But for me it's a really big improvement in the quality of life. Now SmartDry folks, is there anything you can do for my washing machine? Jan. Update 02/16/2021: The system is no longer working. I noticed that the data indicator on the hub was red. When I changed the battery in the sensor, the data display turned green, everything worked again. So if you are having problems, check the data display as an indication that the sensor's battery needs to be replaced. Jan. Update September 26, 2021: The app has just been updated to support Google Home under Smart Speaker Setup. Directions are unclear, but you need to open the Google Home Assistant UI and say "talk to the SmartDry app." It will then say that you need to create an account, to which you answer yes. He will then ask you if you would like to share the information, to which you will in turn say yes. Adding images (if they exist). There are some tweaks for washing machines now too, so it looks like SmartDry might support them soon.
