I use them for recon and have them in my truck. They are very comfortable and practical for the price! They definitely have some weight and the material feels VERY grippy, almost sticky. If you want to avoid this, just squeeze the handles! These things are very ergonomic in your hands. Not too small, not too big, just right. Definitely a solid little bug. Can't tell if the frame is magnesium or not, but it's like carrying around an old t2i DSLR, which isn't too bad. They fit in a jacket pocket, and if you have really baggy pants or a bottom pocket, they'll probably fit, too. Focusing was very easy for me and is not typical for binoculars or spotting scopes in general. It's terribly difficult for me to get my scope to scope before I can fire my rifle. I don't seem to have that much trouble with that. It took a little getting used to at first, but after about 15 seconds of towing I finally got the hang of it! The focus ring is mechanically very smooth-running and does not lose its sharpness after adjustment! All in all if you are looking for a good mid-range pair of binoculars at a good price I would say you have found the right pair.
