This is a great cable. I'm buying this cable set for my external hard drive the 1TB Toshiba Canvio Connect drive that I received for my Nintendo Wii U. The regular cable that came with the external hard drive device was not getting enough power because the WII U's USB port was unable to provide the required power to the hard drive. drive to function properly and be recognized. Definitely recommend getting this type of cable if you're trying to get an external hard drive working for your Wii U console or other device and as it's also gold plated the cables seem very strong and not to be cheap.
