This toy made me smile because it brought me back to my own childhood and the original Glow Worm! I owned one and loved it. This little guy is like a condensed, mini version of that.The box includes one Bumblebug that glows and one "Strong All Along" story book. Such a cute little set and one that is sure to appeal to little ones.Before I even removed the toy from the box, I was a little concerned. Bumblebug is a little hard to turn on. You have to squeeze him pretty hard. He is made of a firmer plastic that might be difficult for tiny hands to squeeze. Squeeze him once for a brighter glow and twice for a dimmer glow. He doesn't stay on more than a few minutes so probably won't be suitable for use as a nightlight.For little ones just beginning to sleep on their own, this little guy might be helpful. He can be set on a nightstand or right in the bed with the child. His adorable face and soft glow can distract them from the fear of the dark and help them soundly drift off to sleep. My niece and nephew are fascinated with him! I babysit them regularly so when they come over, they immediately want to bring Bumblebug (and Snugbug) into the dark bathroom to play with, LOL.The story book is also cute. It is age appropriate, whimsical, and tells a fun little story about asking others for help when you need it. I'm not sure it's a book that kids will choose to read again and again but it's a nice little addition to the Bumblebug toy.
