My beloved husband removed the layer sticking it to the bottom (and the first layer of sticky mat along with it) so DO NOT do this. It really sucks. Use a numbered corner to find the correct layer to clean. If you don't pick it up like we did (there are 4 packs so the other 3 are still good) they work beautifully. I can't stand vacuuming my stairs and we all have hard floors so it's so easy to keep on top of things. I have one at the bottom of the stairs and it really reduces the need to clean them. I suspect great results will be obtained if used correctly, but we're far from that. My toddler doesn't stick to them like a sticky trap and you can actually suck big chunks out of them. They're super thin so you need to use the REALLY numbered corner to peel off the layer (and read the numbers - I usually take 2 together until I check the numbers). r is a little less garish than blue for our home, and given how often my husband and toddler are in and out of the house, I had no trouble figuring out when it needed cleaning. Each sheet lasts almost a week in our use, so it was very affordable in that sense.
