This is one of those little uninteresting products that ends up being used for more things than you think! Used to strain boiled bean water from an 8 liter instant pot and no metal touched the pot rim as it was silicone coated (protect the pot rim from denting to ensure a good seal). Used in a 2-cup saucepan to remove boiling water from hand-boiled eggs. Then for a 10 inch pasta pan. I've already gotten my money's worth with this product. Don't use a spaghetti measure so I can't comment on that.
