I ordered a set of 4 FS-T1 radios for Christmas so I am currently testing 2 of these to see if they are suitable for hunting. around the farm or future emergencies. So far I'm really impressed not only with its size but also with its functionality. Of course, not all features are required. We live in a very rural area where we don't have many tall buildings or electrical interference like in a city, but we do have many trees, barns and other building structures that can interfere with transmissions. My wife stayed in the house and I walked about 1/4 mile to another part of the farm and the radio was still clearly audible with the metal garage, shed and walls of the house between us. I used one of the headphones that came with it and she just used the radio. The speaker, which has a microphone on the button, worked perfectly and heard her voice clearly. I just stopped walking when my wife said we got a call and had to leave. Part of the FM radio (music) is clearly reproduced through the speaker. I emailed Radioddity about one thing I didn't find in the manual (great details on how to set it up and use it). After I set up the radio with the settings I wanted, removing the battery would reset the radio to factory settings. Radioddity replied to me the same day. I also love the great customer service. They came back and said that removing the battery doesn't reset the radio once you've configured and saved it. It worked. I took out the battery, let it sit for 20 minutes and replaced it. The same setup I installed. GREAT. Whether it works in a few days or a month, IDK. Another thing I tested, but not in manual mode, if you keep the radio on and charge, you'll find the battery charge in the top right corner, indicating the charge is working. Now when you turn off the radio and charge it, the radio will charge, you just won't see a charging icon. You'll also find that if you're not using a 110v adapter with charging cable, you know that radios can also be charged by plugging the cable into a computer or other USB port if the electrical plug adapter fails. I've already told my wife (the main account I use) that if these radios work well I'll get a few more for our emergency kit. If someone is using headphones and the radio is tuned to FM, the FM radio will turn off as soon as someone is broadcasting on the same channel, and when the transmission ends after a short while, the FM radio will automatically return . When you turn on the radio and change the channel, you will hear a robotic female voice telling you which channel is in use. At night or when the sun is strong during the day, it's good to know that everyone is on the same channel. At the moment I'm doing 36 hours of light transmissions and listening to FM music, the battery is still strong. This is at low power. Will I order these radios from this company again? You bet I would.
