Review on πŸ’‡ Efficient Hair Catching Solution: MFTEK Stainless Steel Drain Hair Catcher for Shower and Sink by Jesus Baker

Check the slope around your sink

I wanted to like this and avoid flimsy plastic hair traps, but the base of this product is a little big for the sink's position in my bathtub, so held at a slight angle , and all the hair goes straight underneath. Rather than just having a ring on the bottom edge (presumably to avoid scratching the surface) if it's a silicone/plastic skirt that extends around the base to create a better seal and keep water/hair in the main body of the trap, I think this product would suit more tub/shower styles better (especially if the outer metal ring was just a tad smaller). My tub slope starts almost immediately outside the metal drain ring. If you have about an inch of flat space around your drain, you have a better chance of getting this job done. Just place a ruler over the hole. If you lift in this area, look for another product made from more flexible materials. If you have a flat area around the drain I would give it a try. The design is good and I think it will work well as long as the ring underneath is in full contact with the surface surrounding the drain. If I hadn't already thrown away my old one I would try cutting out the middle and see if an extra "apron" solves my problem with this product. Sadly backdated 20/20 so I'm posting that back.
