Got these to replace Gander Mountain chairs (er, stools) I bought years ago. They had soft tops and got stuck in the rain when hiking and didn't dry out for DAYS. They are smaller, so there is less space in the car. They're just a canvas too, so they dried in no time after the rain we had on this last hike. I sat on it and pounded on the stakes of our tent and they were very strong. I use them to elevate my legs when we sit and they were still comfortable even without the padding on my others. I highly recommend these
