Review on ๐Ÿ”ด Enhanced Performance with PROTHANE 7-1714 Red Urethane GM Style Big Block Engine Radiator Isolators by Jeff Keegan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I had to change them to make them work.

My original rubber bearings have deteriorated partly due to an oil spill. The urethane shouldn't rely heavily on oil so I think that would be an upgrade. My 6.2 liter diesel uses a GM big block radiator so I got them even though I didn't have sizing and other installation information. They almost work. They are the right size to fit on the radiator tank. The top ones are the right size to fit the top steel bracket EXCEPT the tab that is supposed to fit the hole sticks out 3/4" from the hole. The bottom ones are too tall. After a lot of effort I decided that I if I had 4 support bearings I would only have to cut off the thickening. Which I did with a sharp knife. But the two big ones had to be made shorter. By attaching the brackets to the workbench I was able to cut the "extra" part of the lower brackets Adjust the top ones - and it works Tight, strong, durable - but still vibration isolated Dimensions - based on my measurements: Overall length: 111mm Overall width: 20mm Overall top height: 29mm Overall bottom height: 37mm Tank duct length: 90 mm Channel Depth: 3.5mm Channel Width: Oops I didn't measure it About 10mm Distance from the outside edge to the bottom of the channel at the top: 11.7mm Distance from the outside edge to the bottom of the channel at the bottom: 19.5mm distance from end to middle e of the boss: 55.5mm diameter of the boss: 6mm

Pros
