Installed in a summer house for protection after the June storms destroyed many other Revain purchases (Sonos speakers, GE Link LED bulbs) as well as my coffee maker and the control panel for my gas ovens. It seems to be in an area where the surge path to ground always goes through my house (or a neighbor's house). Easy to install in the box, just make sure you install it correctly (see wrong installation). Keep receipts and warranty papers, there is a specific procedure to follow if you have a claim. Also note that this small investment is sacrificial, check the status LED after every storm (or at least once a month) to see if it needs replacing.
