Best value for money

I researched many DLP projectors before buying this one. I think I got the best bang for the buck. This is a very versatile product. I use it for both home theater and as a portable video and slideshow projector. The Pros: 1) Price, good value for a native resolution of 1024 x 768. 2) Contrast ratio of 2500:1, one of the highest in this price range. 3) 2000:1 lumens, I turn it on on a bare flat white wall, it looks as sharp and clear as any cinema, I can't wait to add my "screen-sticky" color to my wall to get. 4) Noise during operation, in normal mode it is quite quiet, in economy mode it is very quiet, the projector is not audible at all. 5) Keystone works great. I have a projector behind me on a shelf, under the ceiling, it creates a projection angle. Keystone smooths the image so it looks the way it should. Cons: Not much, but there are a few minor annoyances. 1) Adjustment Lever Not centered. I do not know why. With a ceiling mount it wouldn't matter. 2) Lens cap, every time I take it off I have to refocus, small detail. 3) There is both Composite Video and S-Video, but for Component Video you need to buy an adapter. At the moment my component video adapter is queued. However, I use S-Video and am very happy with the clarity of my movies. I doubt I'd be able to tell much of a difference in component cables, but would love to see it. Summary: Paid less than $800 for it and had it delivered to my door. I play it with a diagonal of 96 inches. You can't buy a new plasma, DLP or LCD TV of this size at this price. So with a few minor flaws I give this projector a solid 4 stars.

  • Large selection
Cons
  • Slightly dented
