Pro: Catlink "works". Your cat goes about its business and the device fetches it from the litter. You'll need to refill the litter to the full line, and the app does a great job of alerting you when you're doing this and when your cat is using it. Cons: HUGE PRIVACY ISSUES. The app REQUIRES a phone number to create an account and an enabled device location. I'm an Android user and had to borrow an iPhone to get the device on my network. I had to enable location settings to connect. When I open the CatLink app on my Android it prompts me to turn on location EVERY TIME. Why? What is the purpose of this? The process of connecting this device to your network is a mess. I have 90+ IoT devices from 10+ brands at home and this was the hardest for me. As mentioned, this process didn't work on Android and it took me an additional 4 attempts on an iOS device. A bit of false advertising - this device determines your cat based on its weight. If you have multiple cats that are roughly the same weight (around 1/2 pound), they won't be able to tell the difference. Overall: This product works, but be aware of setup issues and privacy concerns.
