I chose this model because my application doesn't require a lot of mobility or movement; simple permanent assembly. Considering its simplicity, the device was fairly easy to install and the price was right. Anyone considering this device should know: 1> The front of the mmy monitor is 6.5 inches from the wall on which it is mounted. This is probably better than other more complex mounts.2> To secure the monitor/TV to the unit after installation, you will need to install two screws on each side of the mount. The distance between the back of the monitor/TV and the mounting wall is approximately 3.5 inches. If you have a wide monitor, you may find it difficult to insert these screws into the threaded holes on the device. I had to design a very long magnetic head screwdriver to get the job done.3> The design is optimal for a monitor/TV that is mounted high and tilted down for viewing. The tilt adjustment has plenty of wiggle room to adjust in that direction. If you're mounting to a wall or table like me for a vertical office, you don't have much room to adjust the tilt. The design is such that you cannot flip the mount to "tilt up" more.
