Strange Taste Under the Lid - UPDATED
This thing is close to ideal. Fits in my bike's bottle cage. So far leakproof. Easy to clean. BUT I can't believe the taste. I've hand washed the lid and washed it thoroughly, but every time I take a sip it looks like burnt rubber/plastic. It's good if you pour it into a mug. Hopefully the smell/taste will go away so I don't have to carry anything else around or take the lid off to take a sip. UPDATE: The taste went away after a few months. Holds tight and is the least anxious of all spring thermoses I've come across.
