Review on Kaito Bluetooth Emergency Powered Recorder by Brian Krump

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Solid build quality, audio and recording capabilities complement the best this emergency radio has to offer.

The radio has an impressive build quality. The options of this radio are extensive. I like MP3 playback. The recording function is great! You can record the FM tape in stereo! There is a scheduled recording feature that will wake up the radio and start recording the last selected station. This can be set to happen every day, although I couldn't find a permanent setting. So just an SD card with good capacity. Search my name and model number to see my YouTube reviews of this radio. Features I liked the most: * 18650 Li-ion battery. * Excellent build quality. * Better FM and WB reception. * Flashlight.* Reading lights.* Red flashing light for emergency situations.* Easy to use dynamo.* Solar panel.* MP3, WMA, WAV playback is amazing.* Equalizer settings for MP3 playback.* Bluetooth.* Line jack -In . * Lots of presets. * The alarm function has many options. Wake-up on alarm, MP3 and radio.* Built-in recorder works seamlessly. No artifacts like cheaper recorders. Recording in stereo! You can set up scheduled recordings. * Text reader. Yes, this feature can be indispensable in an emergency. Contacts, lists, etc. Love the idea of reading short stories to kids.* Set up is easy, you can set with the knob, search with the buttons, enter the station directly and use the M- and M+ buttons to navigate through the presets. Features I would like or could improve: * Ability to record line-in port. * AM band is ok but many stations have high pitched tone. Particularly distant stations at night.* Longer VHF antenna for even better reception!* Another display, perhaps an LCD display, which is easy to read with the lights off.* Active clock when the device is switched off. Radio. * Dedicated sleep, snooze and alarm buttons. * The alarm mode is limited. The 600L gets it right, allowing him to stay active while still using the radio and all of its features. This radio is for those who want an entertainment device and a recording device. This is a great emergency radio when you need to evacuate to an emergency shelter or other location. You can download tons of podcasts, music, and old radio shows to your SD card (and so can I). Overall I am very happy with this radio. A worthy upgrade over traditional emergency radios.

Pros
  • Decent performance

Do NOT buy this radio if you need any type of AM reception.
