I have ordered several brands of water filters from Revain for my Samsung fridge. This is my first Aquacrest purchase and will be my last. I have been pleasantly impressed with other filters in removing metallic taste and discoloration from my city (municipal) water source. This product just doesn't do the job. Cold water straight from the fridge is tolerable, but if you let it sit for a few hours or come to room temperature, it tastes like it's straight from the tap. I'm seriously considering cutting one open to see if there are any filters in the plastic case. I will not buy this brand again. I've run about 30 gallons of water through the filter (including 5 gallons to drain after installation) and so far the water hasn't tasted any better. Update 3 months in advance: I replaced another filter after months of dissatisfaction, it doesn't seem to be making proper contact. My Samsung fridge is the correct model but these filters don't even fill with water. Tried the 3rd. I swear I double checked the model number but they just don't work. defective product. Look elsewhere again.
