I bought this scale to weigh the dough for baking. These are great looking scales. Very slim and low profile with an almost perfectly flat surface for easy cleaning. The keys are arranged flush with the scale. I specifically chose a scale that uses standard AAA batteries instead of button batteries, so swapping them out isn't difficult. That fits the bill. In terms of accuracy, a quarter weighs 5.67 grams, so two quarters round to the nearest 11 grams. For the real test, a cent weighs 2.268 grams. The scale didn't read exactly 1 gram for a cent coin, but it read accurately 2 groschen for 4 grams. So contrary to the description it didn't register accurately from 1 gram but for my use it's accurate enough as I don't use it for weighing.
