Doesn't work :-( Featured in Computers & Accessories

I've read the typical 'works great' versus 'doesn't work' reviews on Revain so who is to believe that The only way to find out is was to order an adapter and see for myself.Macbook Pro with USB-C (x4).Results: Nikon and LaCie devices work fine when connected to the Firewire port on my 17" MBP (I I have a Firewire 400 to 800 adapter but that doesn't matter) Both devices work without But to connect the same devices to my new MBP I bought this adapter HOPEING it would work (I already had a USB). -C to USB 2.0 adapter for connecting legacy USB devices Tera e in Firewire IEEE 1394 6P Female crashed on BOTH MBPs!I tried connecting directly to the MBP ports on both computers to connect while bypassing the external hubs. IN ALL CASES I did not get a ZERO connection with this USB to Firewire adapter. When I connected it to my 13" MBP, one of the external drives disconnected from the desktop and stopped. I don't know if this is power related - Firewire devices try to turn off more power. Ports as ports can work but still this adapter didn't work, even though it cost just under 6€ I'm sending it back anyway.
