Review on πŸ”¨ Adjustable Milling Flooring Woodworking Set in SellyOak by Tom Goodlow

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Half an inch if possible.

This set of rivets and grooves worked quite well. I don't know how often I need sharpened and grooved bits, so I wasn't thrilled about shelling out a hundred dollars or more for a set. I bought my first kit from Revain (1/4 shaft). After feeling them on a few examples, I began work on the Shaker door frames. Well, the quarter inch shaft deformed on the first pass of the workpiece. I immediately returned the item and found that someone had posted a photo of the exact same problem. I think for some bits the full size router has way too many RPMs and mine is not adjustable. The 1/2 bits behaved as expected with a nice clean cut. The price around forty dollars is fair, the quality of the bits is well above average. They aren't adjustable, but I didn't need this feature.

Pros
  • β–² Application tip: The cutter shank runs at high speed during operation, so add some grease after 2-3 hours of operation to increase the service life of the shank. Please note: This grooving cutter set CANNOT be used in electric drills and drill presses.
