UPDATE: Having owned this vacuum for 6 months I can confirm that it cleans my previous Shark Apex. We were worried that because it's wireless it might not pick up as much dirt, I'm not worried anymore. We also carry out a deep cleaning of the carpets with a carpet doctor every 6 months. When cleaning last week we noticed that the water wasn't as dark as previous washes and it took a lot less time to get 'clean' water out of the carpet. We're talking about 1.5 hours instead of the usual 3-3.5 hours for the whole house. We haven't made any changes other than buying a vacuum cleaner. I still love fresh vacuum lines! Follow the steps below and I'm sure you will love it too. For those concerned about battery life, I can easily build our 1,600 square foot, three story townhouse (fully carpeted) with either battery and get the same results as pictured every time. (Full disclosure, I also have a cordless Blade+ for use on stairs, edges and as a net hunter. Both products and the dual fast charger cost me less than buying a new Shark and half the price of any Dyson. And I got one third battery with a knife that runs on that one too if needed! I have a knife on our top floor) I've been a long time fan of hover products, I blame my grandma that's all she ever bought Has. Unfortunately, I bought React a few years ago and it made me walk away from the brand. But I was lured in by the promise of a cordless vacuum cleaner. with a bag! At first I wasn't impressed. Carpet maintenance was good, which is what I've always expected from a vacuum, but battery life was short. Fur. Then I discovered this trick. You see, I'm the type of person who vacuums the living room twice, sometimes three times, just to keep the carpet looking really fresh. I did it on high power, more suction = better cleaning right? Not always. So if you have the same problem as me, try running the first pass on high settings and the second on low settings. You get the same result and excellent cleaning. I can do the entire second fully carpeted floor of my house on one battery and it looks great. I have a dog and she loves to leave her hair all over the place. She takes care of her hair very well.
