I have 2 previous versions of this set from Polder (hope I spelled it right). They have served me well for over 10 years. Now this new version doesn't seem so reliable, but I hope it lasts another 10 years. You don't have to press hard to use the brush or plunger. My old piston was amazing and I should mention I still have one of the old sets. I only needed a new piston because it was gone. (I know how a piston can just get lost?) So it's over 15 years old. The other piston broke but I think they used more pressure than they needed. Just place it over the hole in the toilet and press once or twice. Eliminates clogs with no problems.
