Aside from constantly running up and down stairs or climbing stairs, I make it up and down at least 10-20 times a day, opening and closing each compartment to get at things. Every time I get in my truck, I toss it around like I'm loading a plane, and it goes with me everywhere. It has lasted longer than all my previous backpacks combined, which I mostly pulled out for 3 months. After 3 years of repeated handling, both zipper pullers in the largest bag have failed. What I do is atypical and exposes the pack to all sorts of liquids and dust, so I never expect any gear to last. I think this is a great package. That being said, I'm taking a star off for durability because if the zipper puller had been a little stronger, my first pack could easily have lasted another year.
