We have a new puppy (Belgian Malinois) mixi who loves to run and chase everything he sees and hasn't yet learned to stop when he says so. We also live in a very rural area and it would be easy for her to get lost. So we got this collar and so far it's working. I only had to shock her once, now she turns around as soon as she hears a beep. The included clicker also helped my daughter with her learning. I've always snapped my fingers with previous dogs during training, but for some reason she can't snap her fingers very loudly and the clicker works well for her. I was also surprised that our older dog (also small) took the clicker straight away despite never having heard it used before. It has a decent range, which we tested to 1200 feet and didn't lose signal. Another plus for this collar is that it fits her well now at 16 weeks / 25lbs and looks like it will expand to fit her as she grows. So far she hasn't gotten wet but if or when I will report on her performance. We also only put it on when we're outside a fenced part of our property and the longest wear time is around 2 hours and we've charged it after each use so I can't comment on the overall battery life.
