Review on Nutritious Diamond Naturals Dry Food: Chicken and Rice Formula for Adult Dogs in a 40 Pound Bag by April Kahn

Healthy, cheap and safe. My 2 dogs LOVE this.

I usually buy the beef flavoring which is usually about $5 less per pack but sometimes I add this flavoring to mix and match my dogs. I have 2 dogs (70 and 50 pounds). The eldest is allergic to corn so choosing the food was a bit difficult. We started with Taste of the Wild but it was very expensive and my dog seemed to be getting a bit fat. (okay, lots of fat). We switched to Diamond Naturals a few years ago and he loved it. Because it's healthier than regular dog food, I give it to my other non-allergic dog and she loves it too. The food doesn't leave bad breath at all, it's healthy with very little filler and both dogs' coats look healthy and shiny. I used to work for the FDA trying to choose foods that are good for my dogs. I recently noticed that the packaging material has changed from a paper bag to a plastic bag. The shape and color of the feed pellets have also changed. The price has stayed the same. This was alarming at first because nothing could be found on the web about changing the recipe. I continued to feed it to my dogs with the same results. I can see how it might have put some people off, but it didn't really matter and my dogs still love it. Eventually you will find that the price fluctuates on Amazon. I almost always buy a 40 pound bag for $32 with shipping. Sometimes you'll see it go from the top $40 to the low $50 - wait before you buy if it's an affordable price. I usually stock 1 or 2 bags and rotate them so it's easy to keep costs down by buying at these lower prices. Enjoy!
