1 star not because of fit but because a defective product was sent to me. The product works well for my 8 year old son who is very thin. The lace ensures it stays put. However, I didn't notice at first that the shorts had three small slits on one side. I came back because I saw it after my son wore it and since it's a swim trunk I'm more worried about the hygiene so I kept it. But I didn't expect a defective piece 😔😔
